Our First Trip to the ER...and it was not even for a broken bone as Kyle says ;)

Well this past weekend we had our first trip to the ER. Poor little Randie couldn't keep anything down. We knew something funny was going on as she woke up at 4 am when she has been sleeping to 6:30 or 7:00. We didn't think much of it and she went back to sleep after eating until about 7:30. We got her up, did some tummy time, and started getting ready to head to Rapid for Randie's cousin Branson's 2nd birthday party. Kyle took Puma over to Rick and Donna's and when he left Randie decided to throw up all over herself! Now this was quite the mess but we were not too concerned as we had had a pretty busy morning.

We gave her a quick bath and got her changed and put in the carseat. Out the door we went. About Hot Springs she got sick again. And then again at Hermosa. By this time we were starting to get worried but still was not too concerned as she would smile after every time and was still trying to eat. We decided to stop at Walmart when we got to town to get a new canister of formula and some wash clothes.

While I ran into Walmart real quick to get some stuff, Randie got sick 2 more times. Kyle and I had both decided this was enough by now. We decided to head to the E.R. On the way, Randie got sick again and actually started choking so we had to quickly get her out of her carseat. We ran into the ER and they got us in quite quickly.

The gentleman in the triage area where they weighed her and got her vitals really helped lighten the mood. While in their Randie got sick again, and he just tipped her over the trash can and gently patted her back telling her "It's ok babe. Just let it out. You are going to do this again when your 21. Just let it out!" That helped us smile a bit.

They got us in to see the doctor and it was Dr. Adam Newman. He was a wonderful doctor and it was hard for us convince him that she was sick as she sat their and giggled and cooed at him. Now we know we are in trouble if she is flirting at 3 1/2 months old ;) They gave her some Zofran and she was finally able to keep some formula down. After a few hours with no puking, they released us to go home with some extra Zofran just in case!

We want to take this time to send a huge shout out to all the doctors and nurses at the hospital in Rapid. They were all absolutely wonderful and treated us and Randie with such great care! We were so lucky to have been so close to a good hospital!

P.S. Randie weighed in at 12 pounds 11 ounces! Holy Moly our little girl is growing up too fast!!

The cute outfit Aunt Katie got her...right before she puked on it! LOL!

Waiting in the ER. Still smiling even though we were not feeling the best! Nothing is worse than seeing your child get sick!

All snuggled up with dad after such a long hard day!

Snuggles and Meeting New Friends!

It sure has been busy in our house hold lately so I am trying to catch up on some of our posts! I apologize for all of them :) But I sure hope you enjoy them! A few weeks ago we had a good day when Grandma Lori visited all day. Mom, Grandma Lori, and Randie did nothing but hang out and watch football movies all day (that is what was on ABC Family anyways!). Randie has decided there is not much better than snuggles on a Saturday. Pretty sure grandma Lori doesn't mind either! And Puma surely doesn't mind a lazy Saturday either!!

Then this past week we had a very busy week! We met a ton of new people and babies YAY!! On Tuesday night while Kyle attended his fireman's meeting, a few of the fireman's wives came to the Brice house and had a fun time chatting it up and passing around babies. There are currently 4 new babies and one more on the way. The girls are down 2 to 3 but hoping that maybe in the near future they can take the lead again :)

Then on Wednesday we went and hung out with Amanda, Aaron, and Peyton Willey. Pretty sure Randie is in love ;) We had so much fun enjoying a great meal and fantastic company and two hilarious babies! So excited to raise these babies together and watch them get into trouble as they grow!

Randie and Peyton! Boy were they fun to watch interact!

Turning 3 Months Old

This was a big week for us!! Our little one turned 3 months old on Thursday! It is so hard to believe that she is already this old! She has really started smiling a lot and it makes getting ready in the morning so much better!! Nothing like seeing your babe with a giant grin on her face to greet you in the mornings! She is starting to really get some neck strength and even stands up while being held fairly well! Cannot wait to see what this next month brings with changes!!

This was the same day that we had a baby shower at the Court House for us. We got so many wonderful things and had absolutely so much fun! A good time was had by all! Mandy also went in on Thursday and got a tattoo of Randie's little foot print on her leg. Pictures to come of that fun event!

We are all getting excited for the fun super bowl tomorrow and looking forward to spending some time with friends!! We would like to send a few shout outs today! Congrats to Jody and Jarrod Young on the birth of their adorable girl. So glad Randie will have a girl to run around the fire hall with! And to Amanda and Aaron Willey on the birth of their handsome son, Peyton Thomas!! Cannot wait to meet him person! He is absolutely perfect! So glad things went well!!

Hope you all have a great weekend and a fun super bowl! Can't wait for the awesome commercials...o ya and I suppose the game too! HA!

We turned 3 months old today! And what a beautiful smile we have!

Snuggled up with mom!

Telling mom stories!

Checking dad out! Not quite sure about him yet ;)

Puma coming out after checking on Randie in the nursery! She is out little watch dog!

Since she was born the day before Halloween, we had bought a few costume items but were unable to dress her up! We finally got them done! Here are her devil horns! ;)

This was the shirt I was suppose to wear on Halloween! (I was still suppose to be pregnant!).

Instead, our little skeleton decided to come early!

A little late but better than never I suppose! :)

Fun Filled Weekend!!

We had such a fun filled weekend!! It started out with our friends Aaron and Amanda Willey came over Friday night for supper and an enjoyable evening!! They have a little one due within the next few weeks and cannot wait for Randie to have another play mate! Then Saturday we got to see some of our friends Jake and Tatum Hlavacek! We were so excited that they finally got to meet her! It was a fun morning!!

That afternoon we went to Troy's house for a fun filled afternoon of shooting blue rock and hanging out with the kids!! It was so much!! Randie even got all dressed up in her camo outfit for the outing :) It was a great time!! Sunday we got up, attended church, and then headed out to Hlavaceks so that Randie could meet John and Stacy and the boys! It was a great afternoon! Then we stopped over to see Rick and Donna and enjoyed supper and good conversation about the fun weekend in Deadwood!

Overall it was an absolute blast this weekend! We are so blessed with our smiling little angel!! Today we went to Scottsbluff as little Miss was approved for the RSV shots! She will get one shot a month through April and this is suppose to help prevent her from getting RSV. She weighed in at a whopping 11 pounds 10 ounces! She is pretty healthy :) Loving every minute with her!!

Thursday we are having a baby shower at work and she will get to meet all sorts of people! Looking forward to it! Hope you all have a great week!!

This is Randie and her birthday buddy Loretta Roland! What a special birthday buddy!

Ashley and Randie! So excited to see them in a month!! :)

Our New Favorite Past Time...SMILING :)

Well early last week someone figured out how to put the most adorable smile on her face! Every morning we have some great conversations with some adorable smiles to follow! Now that is how I like to start my day off! Best thing ever!

Smiling is exhausting!!
