December 2

It has been a while since we updated and we apologize. Who knew being at home and a newborn could keep you so busy! It has been absolutely wonderful being home! The first few nights home never felt so good! Many people have been over to visit and we have been able to even have a few outings with her! Big events were we had her one month appointment. She weighed in at 7 pounds 6 ounces (which means that she gained 6 ounces in 2 days) so they took her off of the 22 calories formula and we are back to the regular formula. They took her oxygen off of her during her appointment and she never dropped below 93% so we are going to be able to do the oxygen test this week (either Wednesday or Thursday) and they will have us put a monitor on her over night to see how her oxygen does and then it will be up to the doctor whether she can go off of it or not. We are hoping she does great and we can get rid of the oxygen...which would mean NO CORDS to work around!

Tuesday night we went over to see Rick and Donna before they headed east for Thanksgiving. Rick was able to hold her for the first time...pretty sure she loved some snuggle time with grandpa. We were so excited to be home for Thanksgiving but her being on oxygen and all the people who were going to be at Mandy's grandmas, we all decided to stay in Chadron and have a day for us. We ended up going to Turmans for lunch and later that afternoon Katie and Lori came up. This was the first time that Katie was able to hold her! Mandy did some black Friday shopping at Walmart that night and Kyle chose to stay home and have some father daughter time! Pretty sure he was the smarter of th two as Walmart was outrageous!

Friday we ran to Bomgaars in the morning to get a few things and then we spent the day relaxing (and catching up on some sleep). O ya, and watching the husker game...and we had more fun taking pictures of Randie all dressed up then watching the game! Saturday we spent the day traveling around visiting people Randie got to meet all of the Bauerkemper crew, Shelli Cope (got her a photo book ordered and a first Christmas ornament!) as well as Aunt Tori. Tori had been sick and was unable to see her so now that she was feeling better, we headed over there for an outing! She is one loved little girl! We also got a surprise visit from our friends the Rolands!! It was wonderful to see them all and it is even more special as Randie and Loretta share a birthday!! Saturday also marked the day that Randie turned one month old! Cannot belive she is already a month old! Man how time has flown!

Sunday we went Christmas tree hunting! It was Randie's first trip down a county road...and poor thing about bounced out of the car. It was a little rough riding but we found the perfect tree and we were even able to take some family pictures! We went and ate at Mandy's grandmas for lunch and then helped her grandpa put a fan up that afternoon. Our good friends the Phillips stopped in and dropped off a few gifts. Carolyn had made Randie two hats and a three wheeler diaper cake! It was adorable!

Monday she was able to meet the court house crew and boy were they excited to see her. We spent 2 1/2 hours up there and she did great! We will be back to see them all as we have a few parties coming up! Mandy heads back to work after the new year...as much as she loves being at home, there is only so much she can organize!

Enjoying some tummy time!

Puma loves her new sissy!

Jerry finally got to meet little Randie!

Brody was not quite sure about her! Especially when she got a little gassy!
