Happy 2 weeks to the most beautiful girl in the world! Hard to believe it was already 2 weeks ago. When people say that time goes fast after they are born, they are not kidding! Today was a good day! Randie's oxygen is down to .025 liters which is great since it was between .075 and .100 liters a few days ago! She is however losing weight. This is because she is finally having to work for her food (by taking it from the bottle) and she is burning to many calories. They have decided to cut her back to only bottle feeding once a shift for now and then they feed the rest to through her feeding tube. This way she can hopefully gain some weight. They are also adding a little bit of formula to the breast milk in hopes that will help her gain some calories too! Today she ate 40cc through the bottle for us which was the most she has eaten the whole time. They finished giving her the other 20cc through her feeding tube but this is still a great step! She is getting there; just needs a little time. She has been fed the past week and a half through her feeding tube so this whole eating through a bottle thing is completely new! I am sure it won't take her long to take off with it! They have started putting her in little outfits that they have at the NICU. They have cute little sleepers they put her in.
